how do i get my feed settings for facebook?

hi daryl! :)

welcome to my new faq. for you.

okay you already have your blog on networked blogs in facebook, but the feed setting is wrong.

you need to change the feed setting. how?

i think these pictures should help.

first, go into the networked blogs application on facebook. you need to edit the details for your blog. click on your blog, which will take you to this page :

click 'Edit Details' as in the pic above.

then, you should get to the page below. you need to put the right feed line in. the 'URL' line is for your website, where we all type and go to when we want some daryl-ness. the 'Feed URL' line is for the feeds that will go to reader-apps and whatnot.

but HOLLY!!! you say. i don't know what my feed IS!!!

okay that's easy too.

you say 'hey holly, i can't figure out what my rss feed line is' and i go, 'well i'll just look in google reader and it will tell me!' like this:

if you don't have your own blog in your reader, then you won't see this page.

i hope this has been helpful. :) it's now time for dinner. i need to now go to the faq 'what should i make for dinner' which was written by anybody else. :)

i'm busy thursday, will sunday work?

asks the lovely mielikki.

the answer is categorically YES. heck *i* can't even keep up with my own schedule, why should i expect *you* to?

and furthermore, i really don't think the most important part of bizarre question thursday is the day part. definitely not.

how my mom should enter a comment

hi mom. if you're reading this, you may be wondering 'how can i, a simple gal from wyoming, comment on my daughter's blog?'

well, the answer couldn't be simpler. it could, but then it wouldn't be truthful.

first, you want to click on the 'comments' link at the end of the post. there is usually a preceding number. if i change the word 'comments' to 'stuff people said', i will update this post. probably. although i may in fact not do that until you're a pro at this.

so you've clicked the 'comments' link. now what?

okay, here's where i've laid out the next steps in graphical form:

if, after viewing this picture, there are still questions, email me, i will walk you through it by phone.

thank you. i hope you've enjoyed this brief yet extremely informative tutorial.

what the heck is bizarre question thursday

well, first, we should probably cover what it's NOT.

it isn't a small cafe in or near the denver metro area.

it isn't my grandmother's favorite tea cozy.

it isn't my mom's signature picnic dish.

it isn't batman's summer home.

it isn't a small something that you plug a small device into.

okay. that aside, we shall now cover how it came to be.

i received a series of questions from the fabulous daryl, who was herself questioned by some other undoubtedly lovely person.

i answered said questions in an honest, forthright bizarre manner and invited people (as per the rules) to volunteer for me to interview them.

these were my interviewees' responses:

lilacspecs

mielikki`

jo beaufoix

corey

it was such fun creating the questions -and even more fun to read the responses-, that i wanted to do it every week.

so here we are.

one question, each week, which you can answer, and if you do, add yourself to mr linky. plleeease do. i paid $5 for that silver membership.

nb : you don't *have* to do it in a zany way, but wouldn't it be more fun?

FURTHER QUESTIONS :

+ IS THIS WHERE THE ANSWERS GO? I'S CONFUSED.

ah. no. this is merely the faq. thanks for the faq content, by the way. :) what you want to do is grab the button (tbc), put it on a post on your own blog, where you answer the question. then, you put the link to your post into my mr. linky thingie. voila.
